On August 2, 1956, Avatar Meher Baba led his followers to the Baba Room and down the flagstone path that is now known as Baba’s Walkway.

In the Baba Room, Meher Baba spent much of the day with His followers. That time is the precious gift of His darshan – the grace of being with the Divine.

The Baba Room was destroyed by fire. The new Darshan Courtyard now rises on this spot built next to the indestructible Baba’s Fireplace.

But without proper markers, visitors can miss the significance of these important places.
