Meher Baba at Meher Mount
Meher Baba at Meher Mount
By Charles Mills
A Gift of the Artist, 2018
“I come down to your level so that we can laugh and be free together; but do not forget at the same time that I am the Highest of the High.” — Avatar Meher Baba, Meher Mount
Artist Charles Mills portrays the swift, long strides of Meher Baba walking across the field from Baba’s Tree with His followers hurrying to keep up with Him.
“So, Baba was walking up this hill, and I tell you, you could not keep up with Him. It’s impossible. He just floats over the air,” remembered Marguerite Poley, who was with Meher Baba that day at Meher Mount, August 2, 1956.
“This painting speaks eloquently of Meher Baba’s beauty, energy and guidance for those fortunate enough to travel in His wake,” said board president, Sam Ervin.
“It helps to visualize and feel Meher Baba’s presence at Meher Mount.”
