"It was meant for me to come here."

By Agnes Montano

Visitors to Meher Mount seem to be Meher Baba’s specially invited guests. It appears that He is prompting each person at a particular moment in time to visit and strengthen their inner link to Him.

As temporary caretakers at Meher Mount in August-September 2020, we had the special opportunity to greet these visitors and share in their experiences.

“It was meant for me to come here.”

On another occasion, a young woman drove up just as Juan was walking down the driveway to close the gate. She had driven from San Diego – about four hours away – and asked if we could give her 15 minutes to go to Baba’s Tree.

“That’s all I need, 15 minutes, I promise, please,” she pleaded. It was her first time at Meher Mount, how could we not honor her request?  She hurried down Baba’s Path and true to her word, she came back 15 minutes later.

On her way out she thanked us profoundly and kept repeating out loud as she walked to her car, “It was meant for me to come here.”
