December Giving

Your year-end donation cares for Meher Baba’s touchstones at Meher Mount. Donate today and 1% will be added to your donation by the PayPal Giving Fund.

caring for meher baba’s touchstones with your Year-End donation

Your year-end donation — and all donations — provide for the care of Meher Baba’s touchstones at Meher Mount and provide the opportunity to share Meher Baba’s Divine story with all.

Avatar Meher Baba sanctified Meher Mount with His presence when He visited on August 2, 1956.

Meher Baba left an invisible fountain of spiritual energy that touches all who visit. The touchstones of His visit are physical reminders of His presence. They are a a connection to Meher Baba’s time at Meher Mount.

Every donation from November 27 through December 31, 2018, gets an added 1% (and no transaction fees) from the PayPal Giving Fund. Click here to donate.

Ongoing Care for Baba’s Tree

VOLUNTEERS spread mulch around Baba's Tree to hold in the moisture and provide a home for organisms that support the health of the tree. Your donation supports phase two of Baba’s Tree regeneration.

Baba's Tree - damaged in the 2017 Thomas Fire - remains in seclusion while it recovers.

Your donation provides for Baba's Tree care: the seclusion fence which allows the tree to heal undisturbed; equipment to mulch the remaining twigs of Baba's Tree and return them to the earth; consultation with the ISA Certified professional arborist who is guiding Baba's Tree regeneration; and implementation of phase two of Baba's Tree survival plan.

Baba’s Fireplace & Darshan Courtyard

BABA’S FIREPLACE stands as a reminder of the time Meher Baba spent with His followers at Meher Mount. Plans are to create a shaded area for visitors and landscape around the fireplace and courtyard. Your donation helps get this next phase for Baba’s Fireplace started.

Baba's Fireplace was part of the guesthouse where Meher Baba met with His followers in 1956. The building was destroyed by fire in 1985, but the fireplace remains as a touchstone of His visit.

The board of directors just approved the second phase of the plan to create a more welcoming space for visitors around the fireplace where they can sit, reflect and remember Meher Baba. The third phase includes landscaping the area with native, drought-tolerant plants suited to the environment.

Your donation helps the plans for Baba’s Fireplace get started.

Preserving Baba’s Walkway

The 2017 Thomas Fire ignited a fire of discovery. A group of volunteers is working to uncover and preserve sections of Baba's Walkway, buried for more than 20 years. This walkway - used by Meher Baba during His visit - leads to the guesthouse where He met with His followers.

Your donation provides for the tools used in uncovering Baba's Walkway and for the supplies needed for restoration and preservation.

Walking in the Footsteps of the Avatar

KEEPING BABA’S PATH MOWED so that visitors can walk in the footsteps of the Avatar of the Age is an ongoing effort at Meher Mount. Your donation supplies the parts, the gasoline, and the maintenance for the tractor and ride-on mower.

For years visitors have walked in the footsteps of the Avatar of the Age at Meher Mount.

Baba's Path is the footpath used by Meher Baba as he strode across the meadow to Baba's Tree. In photos you see His followers hurrying to keep up.

Baba's Path is kept mowed so that today's visitors can walk in His footsteps. Your donation provides for the maintenance, the parts, and the gas (or diesel) that keep the tractor and mower running to ensure that Baba's Path is mowed and available for all.
